Welcome to DharmaHudson, a resource for Buddhist-related activities in the Hudson Valley region, located in Hudson, NY. We aspire to present a non-sectarian platform where Buddhist practitioners of different traditions can engage in dialogue about contemporary issues that effect us all. Our focus pertains to meditation practice, social outreach, and the arts.
There are a number of online resources available for discussion of Buddhist practice, philosophy, and engagement, but what DharmaHudson aspires to do is to help create an environment for the broad range of sanghas in the region to have a context to meet in person. Our first endeavor has been to organize a series of films for Spring through Fall of 2008. These films will be shown in Hudson, NY, and our hope is that practitioners in the area will come and support our efforts, enjoy the films, and engage in discussion with each other.
Our first event will launch at Time and Space Limited, where the film "10 Questions for the Dalai Lama" will screen on Saturday, April 26th at 5:30. There will be time set aside for discussion afterwards. Check out our section, 'Buddhist Film Series' for more information. We hope to see you there.
